The handover of 1170 armoured vests for female police officers of several institutions of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs was the first tangible success of Equalforce. The Team of the GS-Foundation was honoured that the symbolic handover ceremony was given such a festive setting. We would like to thank the high representatives of the Ministry of the Interior of Ukraine, especially its Deputy Minister Kateryna Pavlichenko, the National Police of Ukraine, the representatives of the German Embassy and the female members of the National Police, the National Guard, the Border Police, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The female forces are deployed for evacuation tasks near the front lines. We learned that the armoured vests which are manufactured to the latest standards, are not only more comfortable to wear but also provide better protection. Each of these vests can save the life of a female officer in action near the front line.

With the support of the German Federal Foreign Office, the GS-Foundation will continue to provide Ukraine with the support it needs.
