Under the commission of GIZ, the GS Foundation has executed an extensive on-the-job training program for Gambian police officers across four model stations. The initiative aims to uplift the daily operational standards and policing activities, offering in-depth, practical knowledge and skill-building workshops provided by German experts. This program is designed to bolster the police force’s efficacy, incorporating local insights with international best practices, fostering a sense of ownership and sustainability in enhancing public safety.
The GS Foundation, commissioned by the German Foreign Office, leads the modernization of the Cambodian National Police Academy. The project’s cornerstone is to establish modern training standards, contributing to a professional and citizen-oriented police service grounded in rule of law and human rights. Key initiatives include curriculum enhancement, instructor training, and equipping the academy with specialized materials.
On behalf of the German Federal Foreign Office, the GS Foundation’s project in Moldova introduces an aerial surveillance unit to the border police, focusing on the creation of new capabilities for the prevention of illegal activities and the strengthening of border integrity. By providing drones and satellite imagery, and ensuring their expert analysis within the operational framework, the initiative aims to fortify Moldova’s borders effectively and responsibly.
The GS Foundation supports the Moldovan National Police in crime prevention, operating on behalf of the German Federal Foreign Office. This program centers on equipping the police with the necessary technical tools, providing expert training, and offering advisory services to heighten both preventive and operational responses to illegal activities and potential hybrid threats.
In Nigeria, the GS Foundation collaborates with the UNDP to action the presidential decree for national police reform. Our specialists advise both the National Police Reform Office and the Nigerian Police Force on modernizing recruitment, enhancing executive training, and providing necessary equipment for educational institutions, with the ultimate goal of realizing a community-oriented, modern police force.
The GS Foundation’s commitment in Ukraine, through a German-Ukrainian partnership and in liaison with EUAM, focuses on the development of specialized training programs. These initiatives are crafted to improve forensic capabilities for investigating war crime-related homicide cases and to align police explosive ordnance disposal procedures with international standards, providing non-lethal protective equipment to enhance the safety of the Ukrainian National Guard.
