Ukrainian Police Officers Honoured and Heard at the IAWP Conference in Glasgow

Im September 2025 hatten wir die Ehre, die ukrainische Delegation zur 62. Jahreskonferenz der International Association of Women Police (IAWP) in Glasgow zu begleiten. Mit mehr als 800 Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmern aus 42 Ländern war die Veranstaltung eine globale Plattform, um Leistungen anzuerkennen, Erfahrungen auszutauschen und die internationale Solidarität unter Frauen in der Polizeiarbeit zu stärken.

Police Reform in Chile: Strengthening Values, Dialogue and Human Rights

At the beginning of September, our colleagues Ronja Berner and Udo Möller travelled to Chile as part of the trilateral police reform project with Chile and Colombia. The project is financed by the German Federal Foreign Office. Together with our partners, they met representatives of Carabineros de Chile and discussed achievements as well as future priorities.

Presenting our projects at the Police Reform Secretariat press conference in Abuja

At the end of August, the newly established Police Reform Secretariat (PRS) in Nigeria, under the leadership of Prof. Olu Ogunsakin, invited the GS-Foundation to present its ongoing projects at a national press conference in Abuja. The PRS was created to give new direction and visibility to Nigeria’s police reform agenda and to strengthen cooperation with national and international partners.

Train-the-Trainer: Multiplying Impact in Nigeria’s Police Reform

In May and June 2025, 64 officers of the Nigerian Police Force participated in training on community policing and crisis intervention. Based on an agreement with Divisional Police Officer Mohammed Ahmodu, selected participants are now sharing this knowledge with colleagues through in-house training programmes.
