At the end of July and beginning of August, the GS-Foundation delivered two tailored leadership training courses for senior managers of the Educational Security Service (ESS) of the National Police of Ukraine. The training brought together ESS managers from oblasts across Ukraine and focused on leadership, crisis management, inter-agency cooperation and psychological resilience.

The GS-Foundation is currently implementing a training programme for police officers from the Educational Security Service, Patrol Police and Hromada Police serving in schools across the Kirovohrad Oblast, Ukraine. The course is delivered in close cooperation with the EU Advisory Mission (EUAM) Field Office Odesa and local authorities, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening school security and community resilience.

The safety of children, educators and school staff remains a priority in Ukraine. To further strengthen security measures in educational institutions, 185 sets of metal detectors have been delivered to the Educational Security Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

A GS-Foundation delegation recently visited a gymnasium in Starokostiantyniv, Khmelnytskyi region, where walk-through and handheld metal detectors delivered through a GS-Foundation-supported project have been installed and are now in daily use.

The GS-Foundation had the opportunity to support and help organise the 7th International Scientific and Practical Conference “Implementation of Gender Policy at the Current Stage of Development of the Security and Defence Sector: State, Problems, and Prospects” in collaboration with Ukrainian and international partners.

Last week, the 29th European Police Congress 2026 took place in Berlin from 6–7 May 2026. Together with a delegation from the Ukrainian State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), the GS-Foundation attended the congress as well as numerous specialist forums and discussions.

On 6 March, the forum “Women of the Ministry of Internal Affairs: Defence, Security, Recovery” took place in Kyiv, bringing together female representatives from across the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
