GS-Foundation Supports the Modernisation of Moldova’s Ministry of Internal Affairs with 81 Unmanned Aerial Systems

“Dad at the border – hero at home”: Equalforce II strengthens families and promotes positive fatherhood in the Republic of Moldova

To mark International Father’s Day, a special event was held in the pilot region of Ștefan Vodă under the motto “Dad at the border – hero at home” (𝐓𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐥𝐚 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐚̆ – 𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐮 𝐬̦𝐢 𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐚̆). The initiative was aimed at members of the border police and their families, and highlighted the importance of family values and the active role fathers play in their children’s lives.

On 11 May 2026, the GS-Foundation (GS-F) took part in a joint working group on drone operations, organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova (MIA). Various sub-units of the Ministry took part in the event, including police services as well as operational and emergency services.

Strengthening institutional capacity through strategic monitoring and coordination

In April and May 2026, two specialist capacity-building workshops were held, bringing together representatives of Moldovan institutions working in the fields of civil protection and border management. The aim of the events was to strengthen project coordination, monitoring mechanisms and institutional preparedness in the context of European funding opportunities and the implementation of INTERREG projects.

BSDA 2026: Focus on international cooperation and security technologies

BSDA 2026 – the Black Sea Defence, Aerospace and Security Exhibition – took place in Bucharest, Romania, from 13 to 15 May 2026. . This international trade fair is one of the most significant events in the defence, aerospace and security sectors in Central and Eastern Europe, bringing together companies, government agencies, military delegations and technology providers from around the world.
The GS-Foundation was also represented at the event alongside a delegation from Moldova.
