On 1 August 2025, the GS-Foundation concluded the second round of its Leadership & Management Training for senior officers of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF). Held over two weeks at the National Institute for Police Studies (NIPS) in Abuja, the training brought together 37 police leaders, approximately 30% of them women.
As in previous sessions, the training was delivered by an experienced team of experts:
- Prof. Emem Olutoke 🇳🇬
- Dr. Stanley Ude 🇳🇬
- Arno Langanke (GS-F) 🇩🇪
- Frank Arnolds (GS-F) 🇩🇪
This programme is part of a long-term partnership between the GS-Foundation and the NPF, contributing to Nigeria’s national Police Reform Roadmap. It focuses on practical leadership skills, organisational development, values-based team management and modern policing – with a strong emphasis on gender balance, accountability and citizen-oriented security.
So far in 2025, a total of 192 NPF officers have taken part in the programme. The feedback from all sides was unanimously positive. There is a strong and shared desire to continue this training format.
The GS-Foundation remains committed to empowering police leadership in Nigeria through sustainable, responsible and impactful capacity building.
