Our official handover of technical equipment to the Moldovan National Police took place on 24 January. Together with the German Ambassador, Margret Maria Uebber, we were able to look back with pride on the successes of 2023 and look forward to providing long-term support to the National Police.

On Monday, our team on site led by Klaus Kandt (ret. Police Commissioner of Berlin and State Secretary in the Ministry of the Interior of the state Brandenburg) was able to attend the National Police Day celebrations in Moldova.

Together with the Deputy Chief of the National Police, Mr Ganaciuc, our project team was able to inspect the first cars on site.

We are proud to have organised an EU workshop for Moldova last week together with the expert Marcela Skobalj.

In late March, a delegation from the Republic of Moldova – including representatives from the National Police, Border Police, and other internal security bodies – took part in a two-day workshop hosted by Thales in Bucharest.

Our two-week training program on gender equality and gender-responsive policing has now finished. Around 20 participants are successfully certified by the National Police and are now in a position to offer their own training courses in the future.

GS Foundation, together with the Head of the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the University Hospital Cologne Prof. Dr. Rothschild and a representative of the EUAM Ukraine, welcomed the course participants from Ukraine during a one-week study visit

Together with the Gender Asscociation we officially started our Gender “Train of Trainers” for the National Police.

In the week from 7 to 11 August, the team in Moldova was on site with a larger delegation to hold various meetings with Moldovan project partners.
