Enhancing forensic laboratory capacities is a key element of effective criminal investigations and well-functioning justice systems.

GS-Foundation’s Head of Projects in Moldova, Dr. Volker Jacoby, discussed with Moldova’s Criminalistic Technical Center (National Police) possibilities of further development of the laboratory’s forensic capabilities and, building on previous cooperation, undertook to identify areas for further support to the lab, particularly with regard to much-needed equipment for forensic analysis.

Participants in the meeting also discussed ways to strengthen regional capabilities to ensure swift and quick forensic support to criminal investigations not only in the capital.
