Training leadership: Planning and speaking with clarity

What does effective reform work require at the institutional level? In Moldova, two training courses focused on two essential skills: structure and voice.

In June & July 2025, the GS-Foundation delivered two tailored trainings for staff at Moldova’s Ministry of Internal Affairs as part of the Drone Competence & Project Management MDA project. The aim: equip key personnel with practical tools to manage complex reforms and communicate them clearly.

The first course focused on project management. Over four days, participants learned how to build realistic timelines, map dependencies, communicate with internal and external stakeholders and identify project risks. The sessions combined technical input with hands-on exercises and introduced participants to planning tools such as Gantt charts and critical path methods.

The second training addressed public communication and speaking. Through voice and breathing work, posture correction, rhetorical structure and improvisation, participants explored how to increase their presence in professional settings. The format encouraged reflection, peer feedback and real-time application.

Together, the two trainings supported the Ministry in developing the internal leadership needed to steer reform processes with credibility and consistency.
