UNDP – Democratic Security Sector Reform – Electoral Security – Nigeria.

Electoral violence has regularly been reported in Nigeria and it has a negative impact on the public security, peaceful coexistence and democracy. The GS Foundation in partnership with UNDP and in cooperation with the local NGO CLEEN supported the conduct of electoral security training in six divisional zones. The objective of the training was to enhance the police capabilities to discharge their electoral duties more effectively and create an environment that is conducive to a democratic electoral process.
