As a partner of UNITAR, we are delighted to have been able to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the UN Institute at its location in Bonn. We would like to thank UNITAR for their 60 years of work in the field of training and research and are hopefully looking forward to our future cooperation.
On this occasion, our Director Thomas Vogel took part in a panel discussion with the Deputy UN Secretary General Nikhil Seth on May 3rd in Bonn on the topic “The past and future of education and research as an answer to the current challenges“.
The panelists shared inspiring insights and also hope-giving statements on the importance of research and education for overcoming the current crises and in achieving the SDG goals for sustainable development. In attendance were Ina Parvanova (UNFCCC), Hubertus Hille (Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Sunandan Tiwari (ICLEI), Michael Hoch (University of Bonn) and Rainer Lassig (Federal Foreign Office).
We wish our partner UNITAR a happy anniversary!
