A delegation of the GS Foundation travelled to Kyjiw for the first time for discussion with project partners and to find future common interfaces.

This included a meeting with the Deputy Minister of the Interior of Ukraine. The meeting focused on measures to promote women in the Ukrainian police force. This includes, for example, adapted protective equipment for women, be it uniforms, helmets or vests, as well as support in the area of domestic violence. In future projects, the GS Foundation will do its best to support and address the concerns of the deputy ministries of the interior in line with German feminist foreign policy.

In this way, we can strengthen the role of women in the long term and ensure more inclusive and equal access to police institutions. It is a project that will benefit the security services as a whole and increase public confidence.
