On April 4th, our Head of Project, former Federal Police Commissioner Matthias Seeger , together with the Inspector General Police of Nigeria and our partner UNDP, presented a package of strategic communication material to the public.

Materials presented include copies of the New Police Law 2020, the President’s Action Plan for Police Reform, a key facts summary in English, Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo, and informational materials on the various governing laws for policing in Nigeria.

Our partner PORTO (Police Reform and Transformation Office) is very pleased with the progress and calls the publication a “milestone that will further advance the police reform initiative in Nigeria, to increase awareness and perception of the (new) Police Law and to strengthen the ongoing police reform process“.
