The laboratory will be used by the Police Academy and other subdivisions of the Ministry to strengthen practical training capacities for the civilian use of drones.

The training brought together representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and its subdivisions who serve as drone-piloting instructors.

The workshop focused on strengthening inter- and intra-ministerial coordination for the civilian use of drones in the performance of public duties.

The programme combined practice-oriented training, international professional exchange and an institutional visit to Cologne Police Headquarters, the largest police authority in North Rhine-Westphalia.
CategoriesChile and ColombiaFrom 17 to 21 August 2026, police leaders from Colombia and Chile are taking part in a joint leadership training programme in Germany. The training is being held at IBZ Schloss Gimborn as part of the Trilateral Police Project with Colombia and Chile. The programme brings together a delegation from the Policía Nacional de Colombia and a delegation from the Carabineros de Chile.
CategoriesUkraineAt the end of July and beginning of August, the GS-Foundation delivered two tailored leadership training courses for senior managers of the Educational Security Service (ESS) of the National Police of Ukraine. The training brought together ESS managers from oblasts across Ukraine and focused on leadership, crisis management, inter-agency cooperation and psychological resilience.
CategoriesNigeriaOn 28 July 2026, the GS-Foundation, together with its partner Fanal Solutions, officially presented the 2026 Evaluation Report on the Community Policing Intervention in Garki, Abuja. The report assesses the impact of one year of project implementation and provides valuable evidence on the effectiveness of community-oriented policing measures in strengthening trust, improving public safety, and enhancing cooperation between the Nigeria Police Force and the communities it serves.
CategoriesNigeriaThe Leadership Course 2026 concluded successfully with a formal closing ceremony at the National Institute for Police Studies (NIPS) in Abuja. During the ceremony, the Commissioner of Police, Department of Training and Development (CP DTD) presented certificates to 35 officers of the Nigeria Police Force, including 15 female participants, who successfully completed the intensive two-week training programme.
CategoriesNigeriaThe second Leadership Seminar for operational leaders of the Special Intervention Squad (SIS) has successfully concluded in Abuja, Nigeria. From 13 to 24 July 2026, a total of 30 operational leaders of the SIS participated in the intensive two-week training programme, which ended with the official presentation of certificates by the Commander SIS.
