First Project Development Mentoring for Moldovan Carabinieri

Last week, the GS-Foundation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova (MIA), successfully conducted the first-ever mentoring session for representatives of the General Inspectorate of Carabinieri (GIC).

The session brought together 22 participants (8 women and 14 men) from GIC regional departments and headquarters. Its goal was to strengthen participantscapacity to develop well-structured and competitive project proposals aligned with the institutional priorities of the MIA.

Throughout the mentoring, participants explored the structure and key elements of a project proposal, took part in a step-by-step transformation from idea to proposal, and engaged in hands-on drafting of concept notes tailored to donor requirements. Group feedback, discussions on common challenges, and one-on-one mentoring on participants’ real project ideas created a practical and inspiring learning environment.

Participants demonstrated strong motivation and teamwork, especially during the concept drafting exercise.

A heartfelt thank-you goes to our trainers, Elena Moisei and Marin Gospodarenco, for their guidance and dedication, and to all participants for their enthusiasm and commitment to learning.

This milestone initiative marks an important step in empowering the Moldovan Carabinieri to design and implement small-scale, innovative field projects that bring tangible improvements to their units and communities.
