Colombian Delegation Visits LKA Stuttgart for Exchange on Cybercrime

Cybercrime is a global challenge that requires trusted international partnerships, technical expertise, and continuity in cooperation. Within the framework of a trilateral police project between Germany, Chile, and Colombia, cooperation on cybercrime has been anchored in Baden-Württemberg, with LKA Stuttgart playing a central role since the beginning of the project.

Last week, a Colombian delegation visited the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) Stuttgart for an in-depth professional exchange on cybercrime and digital investigations.

The program focused on practical investigative work in the field of cybercrime. Experts from LKA Stuttgart shared their experience on topics such as network and IT forensics, cryptocurrency investigations, OSINT research, darknet investigations, multimedia forensics, and technical support in digital investigations. The exchange allowed for detailed discussions on investigative methods, workflows, and operational challenges.

Beyond technical content, the visit highlighted the importance of regular professional exchange within the trilateral framework. Such cooperation enables partners to learn from one another and to continuously strengthen their capacity to respond to evolving cybercrime threats.

The GS-Foundation implements the trilateral police project on behalf of the German Federal Foreign Office and supported the organization of the delegation visit. By facilitating the cooperation led by Baden-Württemberg and based in Stuttgart, the Foundation contributes to strengthening professional exchange, institutional partnerships, and international cooperation in the fight against cybercrime.
